Hi Fien, deze zomer wordt voor mij waarschijnlijk dus niet Italia; ik heb net twee uitnodigingen gekregen te exposeren; één in Cardiff (Wales) en Roemenië. De laatste is wel heel grappig. Eindelijk weer terug naar rommelig Roemenia. Dit gaat om een internationale beeldhouwcompetitie. Ik ben benieuwd.

Hoe gaat ie daaro?

Dag fientje, ik lees dat je de full experience hebt gekregen, welcome to the jungle!
Ik denk wel dat je straks super fit weer thuis komt, goede hoogte stage voor een sporter daar…
Ben benieuwd wat er nog gaat volgen, foto’s misschien?

Dear Lavinia, Dear Fien,

it was good to catch up with you in my tower, before you left for Equador! I loved the heavy backpack you brought along. I certainly loved it, because I didn’t have to carry (or drag) this shipload of dancing shoes, running shoes, romantic books, beautiful dresses or nailpolish. Of what use is that anyway in foggy Quito? You’d better took hihgaltitude medicine and snowgoggles with you, haha! I’m so funny, I can’t believe it myself.

Anyway, it seems to me you had one hell of a trip to Equador, planes diverted, throwing up on nextpassengers laptop etc., that, next time I would suggest you’d swim over the pond to South America. As I got to know you way back when in a swimmingpool, that will be of no trouble for you at all (once again, Im soóoo funny). Nevertheless I assume you slowly adjust to the altitude and I hope dat je een hele mooie en leuke en leerzame tijd gaat krijgen tussen de stuudjes en lama’s (of heben ze daar dan weer Alpaca’s?).

Thee staat weer klaar in de toren als je (ooit) terugkomt en anders:
